I'm considering reformatting this page/how requests work. The comments are getting flooded and the comment box is waaaay down there.
Rules and reminders:
- If this is a new series - it has to be ignored by groups for at least a
- If this is a new movie BD release - tell us as soon as possible/if nobody is doing it for a considerable amount of time
- If this is a really old, ignored anime -
If u guys are looking for a series to sub consider "Kaiketsu Zorro" anime. Its an old anime. SGKK started subbing it but only subbed 5 episodes. I think the group has stopped subbing.

DeleteI'd like to suggest another old anime: 'Kodomo no Omocha' ('Kodocha'). It is subbed, most of the series is (barely) watchable, but the quality varies and some episodes are subbed so badly that it hurts... There's a torrent available: http://bogna.best.net.pl/Kodomo%20No%20Omocha.torrent (there are few seeds) with soft subs in separate files, how about fixing or resubbing it? This is a really nice series, it's a waste to watch it with such horrible translation.
ReplyDeleteI'll have JnM take a look, but I'm in the process of moving in right now so we probably won't have a verdit until this weekend. Also if the quality is bad, we can't fix the video since if the source is bad we can't magically make it better. The subs however are another story.
DeleteMost likely not. Pretty busy already with KZ and there are already subs out for this. I'll check out how bad ep 1 actually is and maybe I'll put it on waiting list.
DeleteOh sorry, I didn't explain well, quality of video is ok, only subs suck. The beginning is not so bad, one of the worst ones is for example 50th episode (try it if you're not afraid of spoiling, it's one of the most dramatic moments). It seems to be translated by an automatic translator, that's why I said about fixing subs (it should be less work than subbing from scratch). They get much better in second half though, but there are still a lot of typos and bad timings. I surprisingly really like this show, that's why I'd love it to be well subbed one day, so other people could enjoy it even more. Just watch it if you like and think about it ;)

DeletePhew... 3 days out of my live, but I just finished watching it. The strange thing is that at the beginning I hated almost everything about this anime: comedy, stupid songs, main character, art... and subs of course ;) but I really liked the story. I hope, you'll enjoy it as well.

I'm going to decline this since it looks like the only thing missing is a translator who wants to do this. Secondly doing a quick search raws turn up unseeded. If JnM shows some interest I'll see what Kaitou would do.....

Sub ALL Magi OVAs. Its not nice to just drop one because of you being too slow and other couldnt wait. I like it more to have the Episodes of one SubGroup.

ReplyDeleteThe episodes are .mkv format. These episodes are also interlaced. I have no idea if that's a problem for you or not, but it's not as hard to deinterlace it as you may think. I hope you guys decide to sub this anime! ^^
I would also like to point out a little backstory on the trouble quest to fansub this anime.
DeleteAround 2003-2004 a group known as Fighting Magic translated a few episodes of PaRappa. I also think that around 2006-2007 someone on YouTube posted a video of Episode 13 translated. Lots of people I know would love to see this subbed (myself included) and no one really wants to to sub it, and so its been lost and forgotten on the internet. If you really need something lost and forgotten that has been ignored, this is the perfect anime for that job.

Hello guys, Virtua Fighter is an anime made for the famous fighting game Virtua Fighter.There is no sub for the anime's season 2 which consist of only 10 episodes. I have only found few low quality episodes on YouTube with terrible sub and Italian dub. However, i recently found the 10 episodes in somewhat good quality and with the original Japanese dub. If you guys can sub this,you will then exclusively have the only English sub for season 2.

ReplyDeletePlease do subtitles for ninja Senshi Tobikage ( aka ninja robots). It was released in 85 and is a retro mecha anime that's lost amongst the piles of anime out there. I watched the dub originally but half of the dub is probably never going to see the light of day anymore...so i looked for the subbed ones. The subbed ones were dvd subtitles done by hong kong translators and hardly make sense sometimes.

I'm sorry if this is out of the blue, but I was wondering if in fact this team would be interested in subtitling an old 1967 series called "Golden Bat!" The reason I ask is that I actually have every episode in Japanese in H.264 format, sized 720 x 576 pixels, and would be happy to give them to the team for them to subtitle and make available for people to watch.

Could you guys sub the 15 min Dog Days S3 OVA. Its been over a year since its release. Part of the reason for the long delay I believe is the lack of a proper raw. But i'm sure fans don't care too much about the quality as long as they can watch the OVA. I've found two raw sources though the quality is much to be desired.

ReplyDeleteHey, I've been re-watching a show from my childhood called Saru Getchu on Air. The first season is completely subbed, however it's been like 9 years and still nobody has subbed season 2; Saru Getchu on Air 2nd. It's killing me because I have always waited for someone to sub this anime, but alas basically a decade later and nothing. It would be awesome if you guys could do that and finally help out all of the old fans of this show. The RAWs are available on Youtube.
